I heard that Snow White's design was partially based off Betty-Boop, have you ever considered drawing Snow dressed as Betty?

Dear Bridget, Yes there are a few original concept sketches for Snow White that do resemble Betty Boop done by the early Disney artists, but thankfully, they continued to develop the character to the final charming design. No I haven't considered drawing her as Betty or, for that matter any other character or pin-up, vampire, mermaid, fairy, pixie or cross-over. As Disney's first and most successful land (and mind) breaking movie (it was like the "Star Wars" of its day, no one had every seen anything like it, I have to respect the original Disney. To me, this may sound silly, its sort of a sacred thing. That said, you are so wonderfully constant as a devoted watcher, commenter and friend. Thank you so very much for your continued encouraging support and all the favs and giggles. About the Queen. Yes it is a little hard to understand her superior "fairness" unless we presume that popular belief of the time was that cold and austere beauty (Garbo, Dietrich, Crawford) was superior over the sweet, lovely and gentle ala the Janet Gaynor or Deanna Durbin type. The animated Queen is a study of extremely competent and masterful technique in animating a very difficult character (animated by Art Babbit). Look closely at her decent into the dungeon with the swirl of that cape as she descends. Now that is beauty. Thank you Bridge. Gerry

Cool info. I'm not much for the "cosplaying" pics myself, but I know several people who are and thought I'd ask for their sake since you're such a wonderful artist seeing that in your style might have been a treat for them. I know my older brother was afraid to eat apples for months after he saw Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, and while I do not remember this myself, my parents claim I once asked if an apple pie at the county fait had been made from poison apples XD.
