I had the sudden urge to draw. And I had no fucking coloured pencils or anything. I had some sketching pencils though..This is my first attempt at drawing a person. ...with a face! XD Also turned to the side. And I'm aware that the last time I drew a person was in jr high and they were always facing forward. ....and had their faces painted. Cause I drew KISS members.
It just sucks that I know what a face should look like and I totally butcher it with my hands. D8 That....angle..... just pisses me off.... >
This was an attempt at Genovese with her long, wavy, strawberry-blonde hair...Which I 've never seen before. But the problem was drawing her FACE!! >

It's a pretty good attempt, especially to be your first! Even if it doesn't look exactly like her, I see the resemblance.
That angle is a hard one to draw. It just takes a lot of practice. >_o
Say...Out of curiosity, did you have a reference, or were you doing this by memory?

I had a reference, but I never drew people... She inspired me to pick up a pencil and start trying though. Currently she has short hair, but she misses it long. They're growing it back again.

That's all right. People aren't easy to draw, even with a reference. And as you said, this was your first time...so again, it's very good to be your first.

I think it looks pretty dang good. especially being your first attempt. To bad you didn't have any colored pencils! maybe at some point?
Hmmm... on it's side like that it's also a little hard to see, it might be easier to get a look at it if it were straight up and down.
I really like her expression, and I think her face is pretty good in general.
You just need a little more practice!
You really should draw more though. XD I'd love to see other stuff from you.

Yeah. I noticed too. But the paper couldn't take any more eraser marks so I had to give up on it.

Hm. Not too bad. The eyes are good, as is the line of the cheek. Her chin's odd though, from about her cheekbones down her face is too long and narrow, she looks like Punch and Judy. So shorten the nose line and widen the left side of her face (Left looking at her) and you're improving.
