This piece makes me squirm a bit, but its very haunting and beautiful as well. The only critique I would have is that you would move the razor down because the line of the red makes her look like she has a very very tiny chin, so to make that a bit more longer. And perhaphs some shadow at the middle left of the picture? It seems like there is a lot of positive space there.
Thats my best at critique, It is very beautiful and The gauze melds into the picture quite nicely

Oh? Your very lucky, I always have the hardest time putting the imagery in my head on paper recreating the image as a exact replica. If you were able to do this then throw my critique out the window because to be able to achieve that I think is what we as artist aspire to the best, to recreate things of our imagination to a key.
I am happy you were able to do that I am sure it means alot. My crique was based more off of the elements I guess not so much the creation itself, does that make sense?

This is one of those truly awesome times where something turns out exactly the way it appeared in my mind. If I were to change anything, as you suggested, it would not be true to the imagery. I've no idea what any of the elements mean, why they're there, or why they are placed as such. I'm just glad it came through exactly as thus. To me it feels like none of this is even happening, that there's just a plane of consciousness, and on it exists a perfect face

I don't know anything about the opera.. but I associate it with tragedy.
Being this close to her face makes it impossible to ignore her pain. It kind of makes my heart do a flip..

Same here... tragedy and beauty locked together. I don't really see the pain though... it's not really there. Just an illusion, as is opera. It's just a performance

at first i only noticed how beautiful this is. the colors are lovely, and her eye is just amazing! it looks bottomless and full beyond all reckoning, much like the ocean.
i then noticed how creepy this is. the gauze is an excellent touch and use of different material, and the flower petals emerging from the cut remind me of american beauty.
all in all, this is a gorgeous and haunting piece. i doubt i'll forget it anytime soon.

I see that you develop your style using new technics such as the added plaster on the left eye - but autoagression? this is hard for me to aline with your personality as far as I had the pleasure to know you as a positive being.
nevertheless, seen it from technical point of view it is certainly another step

I love mixed media and the image works so well with the vibrant colours. She seems somewhere else while obviously in pain, there is a depth to this imagethat comes over well.

beautiful yet strangely disturbing, The eye and patch look amazingly detailed. The razor is also well drawn but gives me an uncomfortable feeling, probably my memories of trying to shave with a cut throat razor when young, never got the hang of it back then.
