And there we have his opponent. LOL. Yes, I made her look more........ "normal". It's just because my round is so serious/it's the third time I get a character with limited ability to show expressions. |D
This is what happens when you remove Nim, everything becomes depressing and awkward. Lol really Aiden... "have you killed someone?" >_> And I swear, Hoatzin will be more in character, she is just tired and talking to an awkward fella. 8'D
And omg, this is the first time Aiden speaks to another competitoner before a fight. SPESHUL MUCH? I'll shut up now...
And yes, someone took a bite on that letter...

Tell me about it. Just recently I read an essay with no tangible punctuation to speak of.
"My parents didnt want me to watch Generic Movie Title because they said You shouldn't be watching that and I was like no fair its only rated pg13"
And the periods had their spaces before, not after .It looks plain wrong .

Sadly, they learn it from their teachers. Somehow, the teachers of the language have a penchant for messing it up. The use of "it's" as a possessive has shown up one too many times on quizzes and tests.
Reading a dictionary is a good way to expand your vocabulary

And I can only imagine D: And then the same folks use it on the internet and the poor foreigners are left with poorly-applied English and no real practical methods of practicing their skills at it :I

Fortunately we have the rare gem who understands the language. I had a teacher like that once. I'll take slightly strict rules on writing over Engrish.
My classmates seem highly perturbed when they walk by and see me staring at a dictionary.

The people around me seem to make the most blatant mistakes possible. Then they take offense at every correction you make. Apparently, being kind to the English language is for wimps.
The thing is, I'm not very kind to my words. They get cut up every which way in editing

And I feel for you :C The worst part? When I do it online people take offense that they're being corrected instead of noticing the whole picture: a FOREIGNER is telling THEM how to speak THEIR own native language :I When foreigners start having better english than you do, there's something terribly wrong somewhere, right? RIGHT?

That will be alright, as long as nobody jumps up and down.
It's quite sad. At the least, I will have far less competition than I was expecting for college. When half of the admissions essays look like a second-grader's, it has a positive effect on your own chances.

The only problem with college is that once you sift through the mound of incompetent peers, there are many people at your own level. Darn those smart people.
My editing can go two ways. To reduce things down, I have to print out a copy and violently murder it with my pen. To add length, I read something back and forth over and over, reading it out loud at times (usually out of earshot of others 
I almost lost 4000 words from my March novel (November writing month is overrated) when my portable keyboard decided to have a system crash. Good thing I backed it up repeatedly, eh?

Also, yeah, it goes like that for me too, except I don't print it out. I simply butcher whatever portions are troubling me and start over. It's funny because whenever I comment this to someone they go all 'WHAT?! You fiend! How could you do that to your own writing?!' but they end up accepting it anyway because that's how I end up doing the stuff they like C:

College these days is a largely commercial enterprise with undertones of learning.
Sometimes I feel like I'm actually trying to be precise, running around with my word-scalpel. But that's when I break out the axe and cut off half a paragraph. It feels good.
Eventually my computer will give up and die if I keep saving like I do.

Tuition is ridiculous these days. Oftentimes you get to pay upwards of $50,000 per year. So now we can get started working with a huge debt. Good thing there's scholarships, I guess.
