I've had trouble picturing Carter, cause he's suppose to be hot and dark-ish.. so I started picturing him as a younger Bruno Mars!! Haha.. working out for me tho!! Too bad Rick Riordan can't be like "Here is a picture of a dude who looks like Carter!" And my mine could be satisfied... but ya...

Indeed!! I usually don't picture characters' faces, I just generally imagine a vague outline and feel their personality. When I draw, it's easier, because I don't set myself this image in my mind which I have to try and copy.

That's interesting.. whenever I read I always see the character's faces or try to.. when the author doesn't describe the character, it always frustrates me cause I CAN'T GET MY MENTAL PICTURE RIGHT! ARG!

Yes.. yes.. that would stink! I read Eragon and stuff like that, and they usually describe the creature pretty well. Just some stories that are told in first person (the dude never describes himself), so IT'S HARD!

INDEED >.< Like when you read a book, you imagine the main character SUPER DETAILED, and then they get described physically later on and it's totally different...... T-T (happens to me a lot)

Yeah... Luckily for me in a more recent case, the character was 7, so in my mind the seven year old version was blonde, and when she's 21, she has jet black hair. Go figure.
