Ah, thank you. I have to say, doing comics has really helped with my backgrounds. First and foremost, I can't ignore their existence in a comic and so I'm forced to draw them. Good practice, that.

i have troubles with that too for the fave of my characters. making the muzzle a little fuzzier (especially over the top of his nose) seems to help a little bit, but the rest of his body's a bit harder
