Brook is an energetic friendly girl. She’s always pumped for something and is extremely self-motivated. She liked to excite and chat with those around her, even if they have no idea what she’s talking about she wants them to be as excited as she is about it. She doesn't seem to know when to stop even when told to and is often louder in most situations than she needs to be. She's oblivious in the sense that she's bad at reading a room and the emotions of people around her. She’s a relatively sweet girl but her biggest fault by far is how overly competitive she can get. Even in casual settings she’s always looking for a way to prove herself above someone else and in the heat of the moment can even rub in her victories. If she hurts the person and sees it she’ll often apologize for losing herself but unless she’s directly told that her actions are hurting others she won’t notice her gloating has that effect.

History: Brook was born and raised in Alola with her mother and younger two brothers. She did spend a lot of time with her father but he often traveled between regions because of his work. Originally being from a region south of Alola their family often visited to see his family that still lives there. It was like a second home to her. She started gymnastics and swimming when she was young, taking a liking to both of them. She found swimming to be more of a leisure activity than a competitive one though so after a year she kept gymnastics and took up diving instead. The diving and gymnastics laster her until age 14 when she was finally done with diving. In that time she had also taken up surfing, another one of her sports she sees more as a leisure activity and not joining a team for it.She learned from her father rather than a coach this time and only surfs when she’s visiting his family or their family is visiting them.

She often spent her summers off working at summer camps, usually the ones her brothers went to. It was a form of babysitting in a sense but she never minded since she was getting paid for it. When she was younger she was just an assistant to the counselors but as she grew older she even began to take on lifeguard duties thanks to how strong a swimmer she was. Though she’s still unsure what she wants to do with her life after school, thanks to this job she began to consider possibly being a lifeguard. Getting paid to swim in a non competitive nature seemed like it could be fun. She did have to work out a little more than usual to make sure she was strong enough to pull a person out of the water however. It was never trouble with the young kids that went to the camps but she knew it’d be harder with someone her size-- or bigger.

In the beginning of her first high school year she started up cheerleading, taking to it quite well thanks to her gymnastic. She spent another year at this school before her father was transferred to an even further region for his work-- Unova, and this time the family decided to go together. They all moved to the Undella Bay area of Unova and Brook got to work finding herself a new school to go to. She eventually stumbled upon Sternberg, figuring she could use her years of gymnastic and cheerleading as an excuse to learn dance. They were all close enough, right? She wasn’t sure she wanted to pursue a sport in the future, though if she did want to follow up with gymnastics with the rest of her life, going to a school that could keep her limber sounded like a good idea. Besides, dancing could be a new horizon for her! She had always liked gymnastics and cheerleading and since dancing had elements of those-- maybe she'd like dancing too! This could open up a whole new world to her! Even if it didn't work out and she wanted to be a lifeguard Sternberg still didn’t seem like the worst choice ever compared to the other schools she had found. (She had not found any other schools.) It was a risk but one she was willing to take for the chance to experiment with her life. So with it as her first and only choice she headed off, wondering if there were any summer camps she could work at here during her time off.

Moveset:

  • Dive

  • Surf

  • Double-Edge

  • Aqua Ring

Extra:

  • She’s quite disappointed at how sad the waves are in the Unova beaches-- how is she supposed to surf on these?

  • She’s ambidextrous but prefers her right hand when writing

  • She has the slightest hint of an Australian accent every now and then when she speaks (this accent is much thicker in her father and is where she gets it from)

  • She has to consciously switch back and forth between her solo and schooling form
