Ladies and gentlemen, I give you... SpongeBob Chibipants!I haven't seen a chibi-fied version on before so I thought I'd do my take on it. Will have it in colours soon :]
It was kind of scary at first to make a fanart and make such a personal adaptation of such an iconic realm that has swept pop culture by storm.
I was afraid that there would be an angry mob of SpongeBob fans that would come with pitchforks and torches and hunt me down. Lol.
Well, I hope not.
But I do hope you enjoy this, and if not look at it with an open mind :]
*SpongeBob, all related characters, environments and the Krabby patty belong to Stephen Hillenburg and Nickelodeon.

PS: Forgive me if I'm missing out on any elements on the characters - I drew this from memory and I haven't watched the show in AGES.

Take it from an adamant SpongeBob fan, these are adorable to the max, as well as spot on, both in design details and personality. You're ability to create adorable characters is fine-tuned, indeed. I love it, but I bet you could gather that much. I want to see this in colour so badly. Did you ever get around to doing it?

Haha, I'm actually in the midst of trying out certain styles with my colouring as I feel I need a lot of improvement.

the only thing that bugs me are squidward's legs... they seem like they should be shorter
otherwise they're all super adorable and sandy is my favorite

Aww, thank you. I'll probably have it coloured by tomorrow or if not the week.
I made his legs kind of lanky because as much as it is a personal take on the characters, I did not want to stray too far from the originals. Plus, can you imagine Squidward and a short thing?
Myabe I'll draw one of him in SUPER chibi mode for you? :]
