DIMIBELLUA

Dimibellua are often considered the “centaur” creatures—instead of being a hybrid, it is more like they are half human and half animal. Completely in half. Yep. Well, maybe like 1/4 something maybe but it’s pretty close to half. Whatever, most people consider it half and that’s what matters!

Anyways, just like the Vulusfera and the Terrifera, the Dimibellua have multiple breeds and subspecies within its classification. Things like “mermaids” and “centaurs” are often misidentified Dimibellua. Unlike the other two, however, their Heart Gem is located in their under-belly area—near the split between human and beast. It is due to the large amount of beast that these creatures have actually preferred to remain separate from humans—living in very tribal settings. If they do, however, wish to mingle with the humans, they rarely come out in their full form. Many of these creatures, depending on their breed and power, may shapeshift their lower half.

It is due to this shapeshift that many do not see these creatures among the humans. Generally, it is considered taboo among the tribe to leave the group in their original form—it is a form of treason. Most tribes have a very traditional and purist customs, and it is not uncommon for them to kill their own kind to keep their blood “pure”.

TRAITS
Although there are elemental-based Dimibellua, it is usually rare for them to have enough elemental power to be displayed on their person. However, their elemental is usually based on their breed—fish-based will have water while horse/deer-based will have nature.

It is more common for the Alphas to have mastered their shape-shifting ability, and merely teaches it to only a handful of others. The fish-based Dimibellua, however, are known to have both more powerful and more common shape-shifting abilities.

The height of a Dimibellua ranges greatly. In their human forms, they range from 4’9” to 7 feet, while their normal centaur forms greatly depend on their breed.
Dimibellua’s ears will look elf-life. The shape and colour will, however, highly depend on both breed and elemental power.

Some breeds will look more animal-like on their “human” area than others, such as the fish breeds that may have gills among the ribs and webbed fingers. Carnivorous-based breeds will also tend to have fangs.
They will almost always travel in packs. One that is alone is considered to have been left for dead, or has been suspected of treason.

SUMMARY

HEART GEM AND ARCANE
Dimibellua’s heart gems will always be located right underneath the belly button. It’s colour would be that of their main arcane type.
Depending on their breed, they have a range of different elemental arcane types. Aquatic Dimibellua generally have water based arcane, land Dimibellua’s tend to have more towards Earth and nature based etc. They have a large range of types and subs they can have.

LIFESPAN AND AGING
Dimibelluas age normally until the age of 20, then from onwards they will age only one year for every 6.Ex. A Dimibellua that looks 25 could be 50They can live up to 500 - 800 years old.

LOCATION
Their tribes are located around Silva, Spiritus and Anima. Their location varies depending towards their animal counterpart it’s most suited to. Ex. Aquatic Dimibellua will live in/near large bodies of water such as lakes, large rivers, and the ocean. Polar/Ice Dimibellua will live in arctic areas in the high north. So on and so forth. It is almost impossible to find any tribes outside of their suited habitats as it would greatly affect their diet and adaptability.

LIFESTYLE
They live in large tribes that find it taboo to travel to the modern world. They live in villages their ancestors build for them being made from the mountains to the trees. If one of their members leave the tribe to adventure they are seen as outcast and forever denied from coming back to their tribe.

The tribe structure is similar to that of a pack but more sophisticated with the typical Alpha rank and so forth. Roles within the tribe range from hunters, scavenger, caregivers and more, the more general pattern of males being the hunters and females the caregivers, but it’s not set in stone and varies between breeds and tribes. Once the young reach the age of 18, they are assigned roles within the tribe to contribute towards it’s survival. It’s rare for tribes to migrate or move as they tend to settle down in one location. It’s also rare for other tribes to interact with each other as they prefer to live in solitude.
