Most social media owns the rights of any image you upload per their terms and services agreement that you have to sign to be a user. Facebook for example owns every image you have uploaded and can sell them freely without ever paying you or even telling you that someone else now owns that image and could be using it for marketing purposes to make money.
I want these images to stay on artist/uploader property protected sites.

I'd really prefer they didn't leave deviantart or dires.org hosting wise.
But as long as your image is uploaded to deviant art, then your colored version is shared using the deviantart url it's fine. I just don't want the template uploaded and colored on other host sites. If that makes sense?

Chatlands is a 2D rp site where you can interact with others - basically you have an avatar you can move around with and talk to people.
You can also 'sniff' people, which is looking at their biography and anyone who rps on the site has a ref of their character on it along with information regarding their character, and that's what your lineart would be used for.

It sounds like it would be held and used by the actual site however. I'd really prefer other sites didn't have access to use my art. As some things such as Facebook legally hold rights to any image you upload via their terms of service

Can I post this (with a watermark) on FB to offer to color it for someone?Β
I opperate the largest free furry art group on FB, and would like to post it along with some other linearts on a post 'offering to color your characters on these linearts'. Or something like that.
It would be posted finished on DA, just previewed on FB, because that's where I have connections with people. x)

I'm a little hesitant to agree to have them on Facebook at all, because any images uploaded there relinquish ownership rights to the company. If my templates are uploaded there it would mean technically Facebook owns them.
So I'll have to politely request you just post links for ppl to follow instead, including to finished works.
I also suggest you do the same if you make original pieces. Facebook can actually sell anything you upload without consent or sharing any of the profits.
