I do but they never turn out well.  
LINK  This is my OC called Jessie, this was the first shadowing I did on a picture. It's not that great though.  
I am trying my best to experiment with different techniques of shadowing but they don't turn out well.

You should keep your work. Just try it again. Step by step, work by work it will turn out in beautiful colorings.
