Ah. Sorry. I tend to include the thumb as a finger when counting them all...
It looks to me like the thumb may be starting to go grey and furry already with the transformation. Maybe that's why it's already shifted slightly from where it'd normally be...

This artwork is like when you do a trick ramp on Sonic Colours with Super Sonic (stay with me, I'm going somewhere with this):
When he goes on the ramp, instead of rapidly pressing A to get "Good! Great! etc." you get "AMAZING!"
And that is what your artwork is: AMAZING!

The eyes are my favorite part in this epic piece. They seem to be glowing from my prespective, and I always LOVE it when his eyes glow! 
Anyway, all in all, you did an amazing job! I wish that I could draw this guy as you. :3 Maybe someday.
