This picture is about 9 months old, and for some reason, I never submitted it to DeviantArt when I had finished it. So I'm submitting it now.The test-card that I'm parodying is the last one to be made by the BBC, so it's still used (very occasionally) today. The last time I remember seeing it was a couple of years back when I was small. The BBC suffered some interferance/technical difficulties, so they put the test card up. Needless to say, I was freaked out by the quietness that it scared me.
The original uses a small girl and a clown. The board has a noughts and crosses game on it.
Mine has Shida and Wormzilla in.

ha this is cool. I remember when they put this up when i was small. Yea the quietness of it al lwas abit freaky. Didnt they still put it up at night tho when television used to stop at night and start at early morning instead of runing straight through the night like they do now?

Indeed they did. They tended to use it for intermissions so that people could set the TV before the shows actually started, but sometimes they used it while they had technical problems, which is probably what caused the scariness.

I think they had the girl in there so people could make sure that the colour and contrast was right so that they could see flesh tones normally. Don't know why they used the clown though.

It would most likely just be the image at that size surrounded by black. I think I still have the original on my hard drive, but I'm unsure.
