I talked to a med student and a doctor and showed them where she was cut and said that she is definitely not dead. If Roy can help her in the next 45 minutes, she'll be fine.

I call bullsh*t on the medical student and doctor. Pulling the "I heard it from someone" card seems to be common when people are desperately grasping at straws, especially when they think they've exhausted all other options. People can say they are (or have talked with) Andrea Bocelli and at least one person will believe it. As much as I would like to ask you for more than just verbal (written?) evidence, I'll leave it at that.
But I actually hope she survives too! I'm just saying that Miss Arakawa has been known to kill off beloved characters and STILL have a kicka** story. And aside from the anatomical and medical aspects of a fatal neck wound, Colonel Mustang is a war veteran. I'll bet you didn't consider that he probably knows some basic first aid and life-saving procedures; a severed artery must have been a common sight among his men on the battlefield.

I concur. I pretty much have total faith that Riza will survive, though. Honestly, if you look at it logically, there's no reason for Arakawa to kill her off now. Hughes died to give Roy a reason to seek revenge ongoing throughout the chapters leading up to the present. Riza's injury is merely a drive for him to act on his emotions, I don't think she'll actually be killed

Only the original owner of the characters know what is really going on in their heads. Now you're trying to rationalize the plot so it can all fit. And to be honest, it sounds kinda pathetic.
Really, I'm sure you can enjoy a story even without having your wishes and expectations come true (you're even a Zutard).
What I was trying to say is that don't be so quick to believe. The internet is hardly a reliable means of acquiring information, and getting it from people make it even less. Now you say that you've deleted it, making me even more skeptical (which is besides the point).

Don't apologize, it was only a simple misunderstanding and clash of opinions. And I guess its just the way I see things; I like to take what I can get and work with it. I like not knowing what will happen next because it's more fun that way. Also, I'm never disappointed if events don't unfold the way I expect them to.

And I think most Zutarians knew that it wouldn't work out (or at least I hope they did, unless they were extremely rabid). But un-canon ships are just too much fun, it's a guilty pleasure. And that's why we have fanfic to read (oh jeez o_O)!
Anyways, I completely enjoyed AtLA even though some of my predictions didn't work out. I'm not one to cast aside a series at once if something I don't like happens. I'm anxiously awaiting chapter 101, whatever might happen. I'm always going to love FMA.
