This is a quick conceptual speed paint ~45min for a character I've been slowly building the visual concept behind.

His name's Dmitri and he's a dragon in an alternate earth setting story. His people, having been hunted nearly to extinction for reasons as of yet unknown, use magic to camouflage their young so they have a better chance of survival. His camouflage spell was botched and he isn't his whole self. I was wondering what his whole self looked like so I sat down and played with form so here's a conceptual character art of Dmitri.

Not sure if I like the chin but I rather like his crown.

I plan on illustrating him more in his human form later on =3
