Ok I don't know if this has been said already 'cause I didn't read all of the comments. But WoW! And umm WOW! I looove the leaves, they're lovely rich colors and so real looking, actually, they look better than real, 'cause I don't think the colors are so brilliant!!! And you did so well on the feathers.. You are amazing! I even love the background, it's great stuff!
In that sort of style, have you ever done flowers? Or something Victorian, like a garden or something?
Oh! Like a flower garden with round trimmed bushes and statues of rats... Sorry I'll stop, but if you did do that......... *sighs*

the colours are so warm... I love how vividly you capture the movement of the bird's wings, and the firey colour of the leaves... it seems that the entire picture is breathing, is alive. this is absolutely breathetaking~ it does strike me as a bit odd (when I think of it), as... mostly parakeets are located in the tropics... no lovely autumn leaves there... but somehow... it just seems so natural in this picture. well done you
