Description
This bird belongs to Lauren K. Cannon (navate.deviantart.com/ ), whose art should also interest anyone who’s interested in mine. Its name is Spooky. But if it were my bird, its name would be Sunbeam, because it always looks very happy and full of life, and I smile whenever I see it.
I wanted to draw this bird because of its cheerful appearance, and because its cere has a cool shape, with these big, perfectly round nostrils, right above the beak, and I was all “man, that shape should be echoed ALL OVER THAT BIRD, like an excellent cloak of nostrils.” Well, eh…I know a cloak of nostrils doesn’t sound very good, but I hope the picture conveys my vision better than my words do.
