So a conversation about an Avatar: The Last Airbender AU using Teen Titan OC characters happened a while ago. And after ~lilbluestem drew an awesome Airbender Josh and owl-fish Jeshula I just had to come up with some concept-y designs for Illusion/Lucy as a bender too. THIS MAY CHANGE. And probably will since I'm not totally happy with it. But it's something and I had fun doing it so you guys get to have a look too.Lu's ATLA character feels so unimaginative because she is pretty much actually Ty Lee >xD She'd be from a wealthy family and runs away to join a circus at some point for...some reason. VAGUENESS FTW
Except she'd be a fabulous fire bender who can do super intricate manipulations which means she can make magical shapes and creatures and things out of fire 
She'd also be super awesome at shadow art?? And juggling fire/breathing fire and stuff. Because Lu is a magical snowflake and shutup.I don't know what else to say xD Except GO FORTH AND DESIGN ATLA AU CHARACTERS. It's suuuuper fun
Also I like how "Lu" fits pretty well as a name from the series? *dork*

Lu... Probably the feminine of 'Li', of which there are thousands in the Fire Nation... Lu Lu looks awesome though. I like how you incorperated elements of her actual heroine uniform into a fire nation-eske design.

The drapey-ness of the Earth kingdom clothing depends on their social-economic class. The richer they are, the more fancy the robes. o.O When I drew earthbender Ana (and Terra), I went for something a peasent would wear (did I spell that right?). - Have a look? - I didn't submit this to the club, but I thought you might want to see this. At least, I hope it'll help with a design for earthbender Alex.
Because I really, really want to see a wolfbear Claire. =3 My apologizes for poking in on a conversation which happened two months ago.

Ahh, they don't have to be! Lil said she took inspiration from the live action film to get a costume that more suited Josh that way C: And I think this design for Lu is pretty body-tight and not drapey enough as it is, but I'm using the excuse it's a circus thing and they can have special concessions

Dude, most of the ATLA clothes do include pants! That's one of the things I may change about Lu's outfit haha. But either way I'm sure you can find a good balance for Alex ^_^
