MTiff killed Anna so that NTiff would be lonely and become friends with her. There's multiple problems with this strategy for many obvious reasons, and it's safe to say that Meta Knight isn't very okay with this.

At the time of NTiff showing up, Meta Knight had already known that MTiff's personality had changed after being possessed, and had been trying to fix it. He's made very little progress and she'd started getting aggressive with him. This caused him to make Kirby's wellbeing a priority (MTiff was a bit aggressive with him too) and be took the Warp Star.

Meta Knight still cares for MTiff (She's like a daughter to him), but he needs to be sure that Kirby is kept safe, which leaves very little time for him to talk to her. MTiff took this as him giving up, which upset her severely. Rather than being angry at him, she was just sad, and angry at herself. She became incredibly insecure and when she found NTiff, she became interested in knowing her.

She figured that it'd be difficult to befriend her the normal way, so she killed Anna in front of her to essentially say "you've only got one choice". Whether or not NTiff ends up having to stay around MTiff is up to Anna, as well as whether or not they actually become friends later on.

MTiff doesn't care much for NTiff's wellbeing for a while, but then she begins to get attached (IN A FRIENDSHIP WAY) and goes out of her way to take darastic measures to "protect" her. People who are rude to her are likely to get attacked, hurt, and sometimes mutilated. MTiff does this because she believes that if she doesn't keep NTiff safe, then she won't want to be friends with her anymore.

Long story short; Meta Knight had to spend time with Kirby to ensure his health, MTiff thought that meant he gave up on her, and seemed to develop some irrational need for company, which then became NTiff's problem.

Also, Meta Knight took the Warp Star AFTER MTiff killed Anna, because he was concerned. This only made MTiff's issues worse. He doesn't know NTiff much, if he even knows she exists at all.

I have another idea as well, but this description is already too long, so I'll save that for another picture. This is a sketch because I really wanted to share this idea and I couldn't be bothered to wait until the image was finished. I might finish it at some point.
