SPOILERS, sorry about that. The similarities between what happens to Alpha and what happens to Scar were too much for me to take. I cried because I'm pathetic.
You gotta stop falling in love with the villains man, shit never ends well for them.
Please note that I didn't put the FULL scenes in here because lack of space for all the text but seriously, go watch The Lion King (in particular the part where Simba corners Scar on top of Pride Rock/Fight Scene) then reads pages 252-254 in Survivors: Storm of Dogs. It's sad (at least for me)

The author has a series about bears called Seekers that has some weird scenes that are oddly close to Brother Bear too (A kid was turned into a bear for unknown reasons, was driven out of town, and now they have to go some special location to help him or something.)
i will have to go back to some of my Erin Hunter books and see if I still like her writing style, I'm curious about Survivors now xDΒ

That is weird...surprised Disney didn't have a hissyfit. XD I've never read Seekers or Warriors ironically, I'm a little biased towards canines. Survivors is the best IMO, it's very rare a book series pulls me in this much.

I read the first of Warriors and was bored half way through, I couldn't bare to read the second one. Since then, I avoided all books by her, but if you say that such a series pulled you in when its rare for something to do that, then I may approach Survivors. Which is the first one?

It was a very loose connection, I think it falls under the just different enough to pass category. The kid was a side character, and he was a cub, not a full grown bear (like if they switched Koda and Kenai's roles around sort of). It was still close enough that I squinted at the page and wondered what this Brother Bear nonsense was though. I kept expecting them to say "Go! Go to where the lights touch the mountains!" And now it's weirder because there's this Scar/Alpha scene apparently... XD It's probably nothing but still odd to me lol
Seekers got a little preachy about environment stuff in my opinion, and Warriors is the series that refuses to die XD Warriors also had a lot of mistakes in it (author can't keep the cats fur color/eye color straight, I think a cat got a sex change somewhere as well XD)
I am a little biased towards dogs though too, and the series is shorter, so maybe Survivors will be better. Also, if it's hard to pull you into books and this series did that, I think that says a lot. I will go add the first one to my book list :3

Scar is the only God that exists for me. Atheist and PROUD! I have a Scar shrine of my own; my little A5 sketch book full of Scar fan art. My friend makes jokes that I put candles around it and pray to Scar...Silly friend is silly.
