He's so cute! I want to have a pet raccoon, too!
Such a shame that's not gonna happen very likely... Oh well, Wilbur is still so cute!

I don't really support any kind of wild animal as a "pet" personally, this guy's situation was special...since he was found SO young and couldn't be placed with any other kits he can't be safely returned to the wild. My friend is awesome and well educated with animals though, in fact she said she was planning to set up a special enclosure for him to romp around in (he's seriously rowdy, he kept trying to flush the toilet and climb into the cabinets where he wasn't suppose to, of course) XD We had a rescue raccoon once years ago but since she was an adult at the time we escued her we were able to release her after she healed up. Her name was Meeko!

About as tamed as a raccoon can be, he rode around on my friend's shoulder at one point He was rescued from the middle of a highway (they think a hawk might have dropped him there) when he was just a TINY baby.

So,like a cat? I'd say much worse as far as getting into stuff goes. You shoulda heard the tantrum he threw when he wasn't allowed to tear everything out of the cabinet or rummage through the garbage. XD
