Description
Chacia staggered backward, her feet pressing into the rough forest floor. She got her fists back up just in time, a hook slamming into her leathered forearm. She fired back with a jab, managing to clip the Angel's cheek. Just as she began to move inward, she felt the cestus dig into the upper part of her bosom, and she grunted in pain. She planted her feet to avoid being pushed back again. She almost immediately regretted it as she saw the angel leap toward her, her vision quickly filled by leather.
BOOM! The woman's vision went white as her head was twisted more than ninety degrees by the cross, a healthy spray of perspiration and spittle launching from her face. The Angel paused a moment to allow the human to list.
Chacia's body ached. Her head rang like a bell as her eyes disagreed. Her legs barely kept her upright, threatening to buckle. Her arms were limp at her side as her body focused all of it's strength on keeping her standing.
The Angel, per usual, wore a neutral expression. This suddenly switched to mild surprise.
Chacia steadied herself, lifting her cestus back up. "I... I'm ready."
Her opponent seemed somewhat impressed. "You are a stubborn woman, you have shown that much."
"If you say so."
The two fighter approached one another once again, the sweat of their bodies glistening in the moonlight.
