Has this actually happened to me once in minecraft? No... It has happened like FOUR GOD DAMNED TIMES! (well... excluding the finding of the signed copy of the bible
) lol, it is so frustrating to hear diamond tools melt as the game over screen appears 
Anyways, aside finding giant caves full of treasure and lava while digging, minecraft is so amazing and addicting, I must have dropped like 30 hours into it. I'd say the next biggest story would have to be me deciding to build an under water observatory, or a huge rail bridge and rail system leading underground, only to discover 6 hours has flown by without me noticing

Wow,that sucks. The first time I found diamonds, I made a pick axe and then went to the Nether,only to have a Ghast shoot me off the chunk of land I was on. "You died! SIZZLESIZZKESIZZL"-Ragequit!

STORY TIME!!
I'm walking back to my house with my new murder puppy (a wolf named Calex) and my new diamond tools in hand. I walk outside of a cave where I had no encountered any monsters. I get about half way home, when the person playing with me sends a message saying, "Watch out! The monsters have become mobs!" Me having no idea what they meant, just ignored it, believing it to be a hoax. Oh I was so wrong. I was almost home and I start to walk across a lake (like Jesus) when I see like 20 zombies following me. I begin to pick up the pace when I see the creepers are waiting for me on the other side of the lake (my beautiful house in shambles T.T). I run another way when my health begins to drop rapidly, and I realize that a bunch of skeletons are shooting at me! I died in the middle of the lake with no bed to respawn to.

I had a house next to a lava pool once, really nice, even covered the lava with glass so I could have the light and walk over it... I also liked to sleep next to piles of TNT, now my home was monster proof, but it wasn't sibling proof. my bro set off the TNT and I lost all 9 diamond blocks, all my gold, Iorn, EVERYTHING I was back to using STONE!!!
