   __ spent a few nights at Kiku’s (and technically her) house and went back to her old apartment to retrieve her belongings. Two days later, it was basically “move-in day” and Kiku helped her with the heavy lifting. He was actually a lot stronger than he looked. No one could tell that he would be able to carry maybe 40 pounds back and forth like that without breaking his back. He didn’t even complain about his back pains! Of course, no one could really tell if he was muscly or wimpy because nobody’s ever seen him without a shirt. He tended to cover up because “Western nudity” made him uncomfortable. Anyways, __ is moved in now!

  “Ok. So what now?”

  “We should probably get groceries…”

  “Alrighty-then! Let’s go!”

  You and Kiku wandered around the store gathering the things that you needed when you reached the bread section. Kiku was walking around with a shopping list in his hand, a basket in the other, and was… WEARING GLASSES. You had to admit, he looked cute in them.

  “___?”

  “Ah! Oh. Yes, Kiku?”

  “Do you think you could reach that type of bread on the top shelf?”

  You mentally laughed at this. “Ok. I’ll try, but you do realize that we’re pretty much the same height, right?”(I know that there are tall people like me, ok? If you’re short, then this part still works out, skip this. Anyways, tall people, leave a comment saying that your tall and I’ll write a special little drabble-thing just for you, k? k.)

  His face tinted a light pink. “Oh…Yes. But… do you think you could reach it if you stand on your toes?”

  You tippy-toed to try and reach the type of bread that was up there. “It’s just out of reach…” You thought for a moment. “Hey, do you think you could give me a boost?”

  Kiku looked flustered and blushed. “I know that Western countries are different and all, but is that kind of behavior actually appropriate here?”

  “Yeah! It’ll be fine. We’re not playing or anything! We’re just trying to reach the merchandise. Look. All you need to do is hug my waist and pick me up a bit, okay?”

  Kiku looked around, nervous even though no one was there. “O-Okay…” You lifted your arms up and he picked you up so you could reach the bread.

  “Can you move me a bit to the left, please?” looking down towards him. He moved stiffly and didn’t say anything, but you realized the reason why was because his face was right at hip level. Thankfully, it was on the side, but close enough to make anybody feel awkward about it. You grabbed the bread as quickly as possible because you noticed that his knees were shaking, most likely out of embarrassment. But it was too late. Pretty soon you two were on your backs with your entire right side covering his entire left side. The bread cushioned his head’s fall, so he was alright, but your head was tilted up breathing heavily onto his neck from being winded by the fall. When you caught your breath, you got off him and saw him trying very hard to discreetly wipe off a bit of blood from his nose with a tissue. You thought this happened because of the fall, maybe a head injury, so you were very alarmed.

  “OH MY GOD KIKU. YOUR NOSE IS BLEEDING. DO YOU HAVE A CONCUSSION FROM THE FALL OR SOMETHING?”

  “Ah… No. Do not worry about it. I can tell you for sure that it’s not a concussion.” He sort of rushed through his words.

  “Are you sure, Kiku?” You saw the crimson spreading across his face and you reached for his forehead to check his temperature, but he quickly stopped you.

  “I appreciate that you care, but I am very, very sure that it’s not because of that. Now, let’s go pay for these.” Kiku tried to grab everything and walk to the check out as fast as possible with his head slightly down to hide the very noticeable red blush across his cheeks and ears. You followed suit.
