Description
This is a sketch of a picture in the book Anatomy For the Artist by Sarah Simblet. It shows the muscles behind the skin of the head and neck region. I found this interesting because it shows parts of the body that are hidden from view but that express all the movements and shapes of the face. The book points out that the mouth region is controlled by more muscles than any other part of the face. This isn't too surprising, seeing that the mouth is used for smiling, frowning, eating, whistling, talking and kissing.
