Synopsis: "SpongeBob and Patrick watch a scary movie."
Season 9 saw an improvement in SpongeBob’s quality, and this episode is a good example of that. SpongeBob and Patrick watch a scary movie called “Fisherman 4: Attack Of The Hook”, and are convinced that the villain in the movie is after them, when it’s actually Squidward playing a trick on them. Now they have to get over their fears to get rid of the Fisherman. While SpongeBob and Patrick are a little annoying at times, I think they’re pretty good. People can get scared by scary movies, and most of their behavior is so over the top that you laugh at their behavior while still sympathizing with them. Plus, that movie was so hilarious. As for Squidward, his jerkiness is like in the early days of the show where he’s just playing a prank and taking it too far, so his torture is justified. As for the ending, all I will say is that it’s irony done right. It’s a good episode.
