Synopsis: "Big Mac and Sugar Belle want to marry each other."

Here's a question for you. What do you get when you cross "The Saddle Row Review" with "Hard To Say Anything"? You get this. Let's talk about it. This episode has Big Mac wanting to marry Sugar Belle , and sets up a romantic gesture involving apples so he can propose to her on the hill. However, in an effort to get things done quickly, Discord enchants the apples to go get Sugar Belle, and they cause chaos. Sugar Belle also sets up her own similar gesture for Big Mac involving pies, but Spike accidentally burns them. Big Mac And Sugar Belle: Obviously, Big Mac And Sugar Belle really carry this episode. We see the strength of their devotion to each other. They see each other as hardworking, loyal ponies who are kind and compassionate. It's made clear that their attempts to impress each other are genuine. They're just not communicating properly, which works here given that they usually like to make things more grandiose in gesture.

Discord And Spike : Now we have Discord And Spike, who make for interesting foils. Discord is somewhat apathetic in wanting to spread the special apples, but he does care for Big Mac. He does want to see him happy, and just acts on impulse when he wants something done right away. Spike , in contrast, is more devoted in helping Big Mac. However, given how he's involved in romance, doesn't think straight.

The Cutie Mark Crusaders : It's small , but I like how The Cutie Mark Crusaders are written. They've often screwed in Big Mac and Sugar Belle's romantic gestures, and want to get this right. That's actually sweet.
