"What am I doing here?" McEnd* asks. Annoyed. Frustrated. Exhausted.
"I would think it would be obvious for a genius as yourself," I say, sweetly. "You have been judged and condemned to an eternity of suffering for your many sins - "
"Oh, please," she says, interrupting me. "I'm not buying into - "
Hitting her with a hellburner** psiblast, she writhes in agony amid the sulfurous fumes and flames.
"You have been found guilty and you will spend the rest of your life in penitential reparation," I tell her as I levitate her out of the suffering on the hellground (though she still suffers and will suffer for eternity). "Because I am merciful - "
"Merciful," she spits.
"Last warning," I say, as I hit her with a hellhammer** psiblast. Her head explodes... slowly... the process decelerated so she can endure unrelenting agony every microscend, as every cell explodes individually in a cascade of unrelenting agony. I harvest her sweet suffering. The greater the mind, the greater suffering and the sweeter and more robust the harvest.
This is nectar.
After one second, she's begging, pleading for me to stop.
I let it continue for 45 minutes.
"You will do what I require, when I require it, with the utmost respect and obedience," I tell her the beaten and exhausted woman at my feet. "If there is a next time, I multiply the duration by thirty-two so - "
"One day," she says.
"Excellent," I say with faux glee. "Good to see that mind is still sharp. I have need of it."
Tara looks around, seeing... suffering. "Who are they?"
"Victim souls whose suffering fuels the threadmancer cost of this reality to our reality. You don't think I'm going to pay for that are you?"
"But they're - "
"They were all sentenced to life imprisonment for violent crimes," I explain. "I've altered their bodies so the fire does not kill them, but sustains them. But at the cost of unrelenting agony."
"This really is Hell."
"The tale of the devil convinces me that there was threadmancing in the past. Maybe a time traveler. Myth often has a foundation in truth." She looks at me with desire. Slowly I had been kindling her lust but now that she's aware of it, I dial it to max. She's panting like a dog in heat. "Please me and I will grant you the orgasm you desire. And maybe other physical privileges as well. Fail me - " I smile wickedly and she is terrified. "Fail me and one day. As for now, you will address me as Empyrean Goddess and I have work for you to do."
