"I want you to head up an important mission, Flaaf," the Marshall-General says.
"Yes, Ma'am," I say, though disappointed I wouldn't be leading the first strike against Citadel.
"Not to worry," she says, cracking her knuckles. "I wouldn't dream of depriving you of the honor. Besides I want my best flight leader to launch a devastating attack that will cripple and paralyze the Citadel defenders."
"How else can I serve?"
"After your squadron takes out the critical targets - the gatetower, siege engines and barracks - I want you to capture their sorceress, the astrologer."
"Capture, not kill?" I ask, disappointed. "Swine should be slaughtered."
"I appreciate your fervor but she has kept Blackmoor - Martina - out. I want to know what that technique is so we can use it against Blackmoor."
"And I assume you want me to seduce her." It's not a question.
"You are our comeliest combatant," she tells me. "And you have no problem with humans in that capacity."
"Such a low bar," I spit. "Swine."
"Even so," the Marshall-General says. "We need her abilities to augment our own capability." She touches my forehead and it burns. "You now have a single passion spell. Perform well and I will promote you to Captain of Flight Ops."
"I am honoured, Marshall-General."
"We are at the egde of a new era, Flaaf," she tells me, clasping my wrist. "One that sees the rise of the Goblin.
"We will remake Verdantia in our image."
