Continuation from The Declaration

"What do you have for me, Tara?" the blonde asks. Somewhere along the way, Nat became our Captain. And not just because she freed us from Empyrean captivity and mindless enslavement. She became the leader we needed and the champion of freedom in the galaxy. Which we sorely need as galactic fugitives. With the Empyrean One assuming control of the Confederacy (again!) and stronger than ever, we were going to need her courage and insight. If we and freedom were to have a chance.
"I can't say it's exactly the same as before," I tell Nat, "but I have reproduced functional time travel equipment. Both to travel to different points in time and also to isolate and separate a given area out of time."
Nat doesn't ask me details. She knows I can deliver what I say and nods approval. Then she hugs me and kisses me. Not romantically, I am with Dru and she is with my sister Monica. But electricity goes through me all the same. There is just something about her. Admittedly I'm sad when she lets go of me, and I hug her again.
"I'm still just me," she laughs, undoubtedly picking up some of my thoughts. Being close to her says otherwise. Clamping down on my hero worship and... everything else, I get wet all the same. It's not malicious like with Keisha, the exact opposite of the Empyrean One, and the whole crew seems impacted by this irresistible Natalie. But we are women of duty and courage and I focus on the task at hand. Explaining the operation of the tech because we are all about cross training.
"I also developed the chronon tracking you asked for," I say, sliding to the other console.

"So soon?" she asks, impressed. "You and Monica really outdid yourselves."
"The tempdim*was our primary focus, of course," I say. "But you said this was just as necessary."
"We are dealing with an evil genius," Nat says, "so yes, very necessary."
"But does she even have the capability to develop this?"
"I think we've learned the hard way not to underestimate her resolve," my Captain says soberly. "I can think of nothing more dangerous." Then she smiles brightly at me. "Tell me how it works."
"I'll set the coordinates for the scan on Earth's Solar System and.... that's strange... I think it's malfunctioning."
"What are you seeing?" she asks, instantly attentive and hyperfocused.
"Let me run a parallel check and triangulate," I say, adjusting the controls. "No doubt about it, there was a definite temporal displacement from Earth six days ago relative."
"Can you make out who?" she asks. Fearing the answer.
"If we have the psirecord on file," I say, scanning the chronon pattern. Or rather patterns. Plural. "It's her. No doubt about it. And there's more - "
"What is it?" she asks, impatience, creeping into her voice.
"Carrier waves," I tell her. "Two of them. Corresponding to you and Monica."
"What does that mean?" she asks. "Explain it to me in English**".
"If I was going to travel to the past and wanted to reprogram someone, a carrier wave where someone was previously under psionic control was how I would do it."
"Meaning she's going after me and Monica."
"Yes," I respond glumly.

"You did good," I say. "Thanks to you, we have a fighting chance. Now tell me where and when she went."
