it is so.. realistic! and it makes me grumpy because it never turns out right. i like blaming whatever i draw to my fantasy :---)

but this is good. it doesn't have to look exactly as the thing you are drawing/painting OR the thing you are picturing in your mind. for some that's realism, but it's incredibly boring! the exciting thing is when your drawing turns into something else, something new, and you can see traces of your inspirational source but also traces of you and your style- when these all connect and becomes a piece of art, that's when it turns into interesting and lovely realism in my opinion.
you shouldn't be grumpy about it, you should keep challenging yourself and make lovely little pieces of art, dear bear.
