Description And the storyline continues with this official show extra c: I quite like this new style I have discovered. it still needs some work and getting used to but so far I feel like it's good for simple images and it fits nicely with my normal style and level of detail I think. Also this is the first time I tried using a ground texture for the ground and that turned out good enough I think

The time had finally come for Kate and Aden to travel to Germany. They had for weeks in advance arranged for their neighbouring stable to take care of the horses they were going to leave behind for about two months. For this trip, they were bringing Destiny , Kiwi and her twins, Obsidian and Luna to start Destiny and the twins’ show careers off. They were also likely to bring Spirit for one the last event of the trip. All the horses were trained and warmed up days before the trip to get them in the right mindset and to avoid a lot of the restlessness that usually comes with a long road trip. At around 9 am on the morning of the 10th of August, Kate and Aden finally loaded the horses up into horse trailers and were waved off by some of the staff from the neighbouring stable.
Around 9 hours of road time and several stops later, they finally arrived at the Island Equestrian Centre and got settled into the boarding facilities. Destiny, Kiwi and the twins were settled into the mare and foal boarding stables, while Spirit settled into other boarding stables. Kate and Aden went on to move into the guest facilities since they were going to be there for a few weeks until the next event. After packing out, they met with a staff member, Rosie Foster, who kindly showed them to the boarding pastures which their horses got to graze in for a few hours. At night time they were brought into the stables again.
The next morning Aden and Kate got up early to turn all the horses except Destiny into the pastures again. Kate lead Kiwi and the twins to the pastures, while Aden lead Spirit. The twins were extra rowdy that morning and lacking any halter training, Kate had to trust that they would follow their mother and not make any major detours. Luckily they were still young enough to be very dependent on Kiwi and followed Kiwi with very few problems. After putting Spirit to the pastures, Aden went to tack up Destiny and work with her in one of the round pens at the centre. It was already sunny and warm and Destiny was being particularly hotheaded and alert that day because of all the new sights, sounds and smells and bucked a bunch under the warm-up session.
“Hooo, girl” Aden tried to calm her as he lead her to one of the outdoor arenas. By now, the riding grounds were teeming with activity and it quickly became apparent that Destiny needed the red ribbons in both her tail and mane as a warning of her protective kicks and bite attempts at the passing horses. Luckily it went down as they entered the only empty riding arena. She was already sweating profusely, so when Aden got up on her, he worked her into a walk to give her time to cool off and calm down. Then the real work started and they practised their simple dressage routine as preparation for the dressage class, they were entering. Destiny moved a bit stiffly in the beginning and the team didn’t quite work together in sync. Destiny being a young, green mare didn’t quite have a balanced gait and was constantly testing Aden’s patience and skills. Fortunately, at the end of their session, they reached a nice result and finally worked together instead of against each other. Satisfied with the result, Aden gave Destiny some good pats and called it a day. He then washed and cooled her off and turned her into the boarding pastures with Kiwi and the twins. The two mares were pretty attached, especially after Kiwi got twins, and they kept pretty much to themselves since Destiny, being her protective self, kept running off all the other boarding mares. Aden shook his head and chuckled as he witnessed Destiny running towards Kiwi and kicking at any nearby mares. “This trip is going to be interesting” He mumbled to himself and went on with his day. He still needed to work with Spirit, even though the stallion wasn’t entering this event.
