I've wanted to do a human version of Tamatoa ever since I saw Moana. Not an original idea in any way. You can find a lot of versions on Google but what finally pushed me over the edge to start this piece was Jonathan Young's Metal rendition of Shiny and I just knew I had to draw Tamatoa inspired by Mr Young!ALSO: Dark n shiny version here: sta.sh/01n1fh1ldbba

I'll be honest, this is the first humanization I've seen of Tamatoa based off of Jonathan Young--and it's absolutely awesome. His version of "Shiny" is so badass! I do kind of wish he sung it wearing something like what you drew up truthfully.
