Granted, since the film's release I was expecting Tothless and Light Fury to have children, that Hiccup and Astrid was a possibility, but I certainly did not expect to see Astrid pregnant.
I know it is quite common and predictable that the characters in a film have children after finding love, but something quite strange that most screenwriters let go is to see before the character canonically pregnant. The only characters I saw openly pregnant were Mavis at Hotel Transylvania 2 and Ellie at Ice Age 3.

Well, it should be like that, since in a movie that the characters have children is so common that it happens as the villain dies at the end of the movie, but it has to be that way, since another character that was pregnant was Fionna in Shrek 3, but she always had an early pregnancy, so in the whole film it looked the same as always, and precisely what a pregnancy describes is a 9 month old belly.
And by the way, talking about pregnancy of movie characters, what do you think about embarrassing a character in a TV series?
