Wow, it kind of surprises me how few people can really critically analyze this. There's actually a really poetic and poignant message here, I think:
“Men's greatest weakness is their facade of strength. Women's greatest strength is their facade of weakness."
Think about it this way: If she stabs him in the back, whose side is society going to take? He may be her savior, and she may be his betrayer, but whose story is society going to believe? The beautiful, helpless looking little damsel, or the big, ugly, muscly, imposing male?
Beautiful. Poetic, ironic, poignant, haunting. Beautiful. Seriously the best piece of visual art I've ever seen. Period.
If the artist didn't intend it this way, I'm REALLY surprise and slightly embarrassed now. And maybe I've been spending a bit too much time reading MRA propaganda.

They say don't judge or pick up a book based just on the cover, but a couple of my very favorite books were picked up just because the cover caught my eye and it was in the right genre.

Exactly! I used to study the painted covers to paperback collections of Tarzan and Conan the Barbarian as a child. Probably greatly inspired my interest in art, (and books). Never underestimate good promotion.
