Y'know, I think it's highly possible that Derpy has two daughters. Would be the easiest explanation, as it would be hard to just eliminate Dinky as her daughter and replace her with filly Derpy. I mean, so many people have written about them being mother and daughter already. Not to mention that her coat and hair are uncannily close to Derpy's...
