Description
This is another project for Figure Drawing III. The goal was to take one of my figure drawings and transform the figure into a robot. I followed a tutorial by *MichaelO and I'm rather pleased with the results! Everyone in class loved it.This art will be featured on the MOBICON XV t-shirt!

Now that is a beautiful image! I love the idea behind it and how the machine looks so very human. You can see all of the mechanical workings of the machine... but the choice in coloring, a flesh tone and the structure of the face... all make him look very human. Right down to the pose, it's so casual, so expressive and not machine like at all.
And, I definitely love the use of the mask. We all wear masks so why not something that wants to be what it isn't?
The one area in this piece that needs a little touching up is the cloth that the man/machine is sitting on. Everything else in the piece has a very realstic qaulity to it in the way you drew the form of the being and in the application of the light and shadows. But the cloth feels like it had a little less time or love put into it.
Over all a very good piece and very thought provocing. Wonderful job!
