Invader ZIM The Movie: Invader DibFrom what I hear, this was a TV movie idea tossed around by the ZIM crew that would have been made as a closer to the series. Since the end came prematurely however, it was never made. Jhonen wanted to focus the series later on as an intergalactic chase between Dib and ZIM that would have come to a head in this movie. I made this DVD case as a sort of sequel to the Invader ZIM: The Game [link] and to see if I could improve upon the design; i.e. greater complexity and more depth. I think it came out just spendid! Now, if someone would just make the movie...

Honestly, a big-screen "Invader Dib" to me calls for action, romance, comedy, mind-blowing Human/Resisty and Irken battles in space, and whole lotta Gir stuff to please the fans.

The way you explain the movie on the cover, it almost sounds as if Dib isn't human...
Is that what you were getting at? That Dib is Irken, too? Or is it just my weird mind?

Since Nick canceled the series, Jhonen Vasquez himself has said, even if Nick DID try renewing the series, he would not go back to it. :c
A real shame, this was the only thing good on Nick anymore.

Well, a few moments ago I read about a rumor going around that Nick MAY finish the unfinished episodes that the audio was already recorded for. However I don't know, and unless they get all the original voice actors back, I really hope they don't start making new episodes on there own, I don't want to hear Zim, Dib,Gir, anyone, with a completly screwed up voice. :c (Especially Zim though, any other voice for him and it's just.. no.)
Of course with Jhonen gone from it, I doubt it will be the same.. Nick would probobally turn it into another one of their oh-so-happy-with-nothing-dark-or-sad-in-it shows. Invader Zim was a one of a kind show. It kills me to see how Nick ruined that.
I'm sorry for going off and writing near a paragraph of words that I'm not even sure make sence right now.. I just needed to tell this to someone and get it out.

no problem. you dont even want to know how much i can tyep at a time. it isn't really just a rumor anymore, if you watch nictoonetwork, they've had ads for the return of the series. but i swear to the Gods above, if they turn it all happy-go-friken-lucky! i am going to cry, then im going to kill someone if that would be the case. :mad: but i'm hopeing it wont be that bad...see? who else is tyeping long stuff. i hope they find all the voises, i know Gaz will have the same no matter what because she was voised by an actor who can be foound every where. but dib and zim may be a little harder to find. dibs voise is somewhere in a band somewhere, and zim, well, idk where he is right now but still, also, we don't want to over-expect this, i mean, it was about nine years of hiatus. (if i spelled that right)but agin it most likely wont be as bad as we think. when people wait for things like this thay always expect perfection and then they expect the worse. so yeah.

Yeah, hopefully Nick doesn't ruin it, honestly though, I would have the same reaction, but after crying for about a day I would probobally give it a chance, since I would give anything (Well, not literally anything, but you get the point. a lot of stuff.) to see it back on the air again with new episodes. And if they did keep it in it's dark style? Hell yes I would give it a try! Even if it wasn't quite the same, and I kept telling myself that, I would still watch it, part of me would just need to xDD
Well, I know that the guy who played as Dib (forgot his name, bah)said himself that even after the series was canceled, he never really let go of the character like the others may have/did. So given the chance, I think he'd come back. The actor who played Zim however.. I'm unsure, and thats worrying me. e.e
Of course however, I'm honestly doubting Nick would bring it back. I mean, yeah they said that they MAY renew the show with new episodes on a later date, but I'm doubting after they canceled IZ for.. well no apparent reason as I can see. It had great ratings, even got a few awards, no?

first off, i agree 100% with everything you just said. i would give it a try no matter what because i wouldn't be able to sleep at night if i knew it was on and i didn't toon in. and a little off topic, i am so glad i can talk about this to someone about my opinion of this thing. i mean, i don't even know you and we're getting into an in-depth conversation. so i feel like i need to say thank you!

i honestly don't think anyone can let go of the little paronormal big head stalker that is Dib. or any other charactor for that matter. Gir too. what about Gir? do you think they'll find the same voise actor for him? God i hope so. you think Zim would'nt be the same with a diffrent voise? If Gir had a diffrent voise, idk what it would be like...but it wouldn't be as good. (omg lets try not to think about that!!!) and i think it won a few awards...don't know for what or when, but i know there was like 1 at least. invader zim rules the earth!

Yeah.. honestly, none of the characters would really be the same without their proper voices.
I mean, even Tallest Red and Purple. They're voices any different just wouldn't fit.
And yeah, I know it won like 1 or 2, something around there. Though it should have won more!
I mean, when IZ was still around and being made, I used to watch Nick all the time, mainly I would watch it just for Invader Zim, but after it was over I just said 'Ah, I'll watch a few other cartoons also.' And I spent a while just watching Nick! But, after they canceled IZ, I just didn't watch Nick anymore, mainly because I was actually mad at them for ruining it, but also because Nick wasn't the same. It just seems like everything is always money with them. Most of the shows on there have been going for years and are slowly dying and becoming less funny. Even if Zim got like that, I'd still watch it because IZ isn't just funny, there are some actually epic parts to it too! It's like, the perfect miz of something serious and something funny.
God, I don't even know if half of that made sence. LOL

hey jhonen actually recently said he would like to make new zim stuff, and nick just released a dvd called OPERATION DOOM to see if it sells well. if it does, they say they will "greenlight" new episodes.
also, several of the original voice actors have said they would love to return to the show.

when invader zim was on, (2001-2002) i was really little, i was like....5 or 6? kindergarden. so i remember i was terrofied out of my mind when it was really on. i got nightmares for like, a month or so. however, when i watched it now,i LOVED it. i started watching it again in 8th grade. and since then, i've been waatching it all the time. but again, invader zim wasn't for little kids in the first place. lmao.

I remember I was pretty young too, it didn't scare me, but it lacked my interest, though after seeing it on every now and then, I started liking it's dark sence of humor. (Yes, I was a very, very odd little child. LOL)
