I would say Zootoca vivipara = common lizard, viviparous lizard. And I think it's a male Β

To be interely sure and discreminate it from Podarcis muralis (common wall lizard), I need his tail (scales have triangle at the edge for viviparous, they are flat boarded if it's wall lizard).Β

Thanks!!! I think less then 9 cm.. Probably. And I don't have any shot with whole tail, sorry :C

I think it's viviparian lizard : Β short and round mussel, scales in relief on the back, the tail must be thick (more than wall lizard) and the lizard seems to crawl more than to walk Β

I think this one is the same species (maybe a female, yours looking like a male)
Short head,Β Β thick tail, triangle scales on the tail too Β

As you are discussing my photograph in connection with that by Solan7, one thing must be taken into account. I photographed a very young specimen - its length was about 3 cm whereas the adults may be as long as 16 cm. So it is difficult to say if you see a male or a female in my shot.

Thank you for tout precision it's a young one, that's right the decorations arrive after indeed.
About the size do you include tail ?

Yes, I do.

This species is absent where I live, I look in a book to determine it and the best clue is the scales of the tail for this species. Your's show it pretty well but I'm not sure about the lizard from Solan's picture.Β
Can you confirm it ?Β

I think you are right, but I am not sure enough. The Solan's shot indeed seems to show Zootoca vivipara.
