CUTE STORY ALERT!!!

Okay, so the boy is Javier Escobedo (I know he looks like Kadeem, but he's not)! XD Anyways, he's a super shy boy who is very quiet, but friendly and a bit more open and comfortable when you get to know him better. At the beginning of sophomore year, he transferred from another high school because a bunch of bullies were picking on him for being too short, too chubby, too shy, etc. Now, he goes to Marisa and Marisol's high school. So basically, he's the new kid. Sadly, he still gets picked on by some of the bigger and stronger boys, but it's not as bad as his other school. At his current school, the people take his lunch money and shove him into his locker. That's still pretty bad, but to Javier, it could be worse.

On Javier's first day in math class (math is his favorite subject), he was the first student there, probably to avoid the bullies during passing period. Moments later, the other students arrived when he suddenly noticed Marisol walk in with her best friend. Javier instantly became infatuated with Marisol, but tried his best not to show it, since he didn't get much recognition from girls, anyway. Plus, to him, Marisol looked like one of the popular girls and felt he didn't have a chance with her at all. During math class that day, Javier overheard Marisol telling her best friend about a math problem that she didn't know the answer to. Javier felt that he should say the answer, thinking that maybe she'd notice him. Shyly, he turned around behind him to tell her the answer. Marisol was actually delighted and thanked him. Later that day during lunch, Marisol tapped on Javier's shoulder, thanking him again for the answer, and complimenting his red shoes, because she liked wearing red shoes herself. After that interaction, the two hardly ever spoke to each other. Most of the time, Marisol didn't notice Javier so much, not because she was being a jerk and trying to forget about him. But Javier was so shy and quiet, it seemed as if he weren't there at all.

Months later, Javier really wanted Marisol as his girlfriend before she became unavailable, but he was too shy. One day, while he was grocery shopping with his mom, he noticed Marisol's dad, which is Kadeem Barrera. Kadeem is a famous singer, and all the kids at school know that Marisa and Marisol are Kadeem's daughters. Javier's heart began to pound, hoping that Marisol wasn't with him, but she didn't appear to be. Javier hoped that he would use this time to ask Kadeem if he could date his daughter, but his nerves were overpowering him (don't you just hate when that happens)? XD However, with the help of his mom, Javier walked up to Kadeem just as Kadeem made it to his car to leave the grocery store. Javier told Kadeem about his crush on Marisol and how he was too nervous to talk to her, etc. Kadeem, being the doting father of his daughters that he is, didn't like the idea of his girls dating just yet. But, he felt that Javier was being sincere and kind, so Kadeem gave him some money and suggested to Javier that he should take Marisol out for ice cream, since that's her favorite treat. Javier thanked Kadeem, and asked him not to tell Marisol about it when he got home. Of course Kadeem wouldn't tell, since Javier is the one that should do it (he's the one with the crush, ya know)?

That evening, when Javier and his mom came home, Javier went to his room and wrote a secret admirer note telling Marisol to meet him 15 min. after the final bell rang behind the giant tree behind the school. He figured that for a shy guy like him, this would be the best way to talk to Marisol. The next day, Javier excitedly put the money in his pocket and headed off to school. Once he got to his locker at school, some bullies shoved him into his locker and forced Javier to give them his lunch money. The only money he had was the money that Kadeem had given him for the ice cream date. Javier didn't want to relinquish the money, but he had to in order to escape the bullies and slip the note into Marisol's locker before she arrived. Reluctantly, Javier surrendered Kadeem's money to the bullies, and they left him alone. Even though Javier was disappointed, he still had time to slip the note into Marisol's locker, which he did!

Standing behind a wall, hidden from Marisol's sight, Javier watched Marisol open her locker, and out fell the note. She picked it up and read it. She then showed her best friend and the two began squealing and jumping up and down with glee. Marisol's best friend stopped, however, and became serious, warning Marisol that this could be some kind of trap. So the two decided that Marisol would meet the secret admirer while her best friend (and some other girls) stood watch, in case something happens to Marisol. The day wore on, and each class that passed, Javier's heart would pound harder. Suddenly, the last bell rang, and it was the end of school. Javier ran to the big tree behind the school and waited. A few moments later, he heard a bunch of girls' voices and peeked around the tree he was hiding behind. He saw Marisol, her best friend, and other girls. They seemed to be looking for Marisol's secret admirer. Javier took a deep breath and stuck his arm out, signaling to Marisol that she was there. They saw his arm, and Marisol walked over to the tree.

When she got there and saw who her secret admirer was, she gasped in delight at the sight of Javier. She was also relieved it was him and not one of the jerky bullies, or some creep that would snatch her away. Javier told her his feelings for her and that he wanted to be her boyfriend (if that was okay with her, of course). Marisol said yes, which surprised Javier very much, and the two shared a kiss. Javier's looked disappointed, however, when he told Marisol about the bullies stealing money from him that was for the ice cream date. Marisol felt bad for him, but she explained that she would buy the ice cream since her dad always gave her money. So, hand-in-hand, the two went out for ice cream, and from that day on, they were a happy couple! ^^

Little side notes: I purposefully made Javier shorter than Marisol because I just thought that would be cute.

Marisol calls Javier "Javi" for short.
