Description The banner high, the axe in lead, sabre in defiance, they march, the plague, seeping into the soil they stand, the earth shaking in squishing and pussing ways as the earth cringes. let them come, let them march. the Word of Nurgle must be heard and loved.

One of the things I love about modeling Nurgle models is that they are very forgiving by the nature of what they "should" look like. The putty is an easy fix, depending on your skill (I'm a much better sculptor than painter) and personally I think any Nurgle worshiper worth his pustules needs to have something oozing or dripping from him in some way!
Terrain I may be able to help with as I'm considered an expert on it. Especially scenic bases. My advice would be to take white glue, apply it heavily over what you already have, add sand leaving several areas where it is primarily white glue to create puddles, allow this to dry. Once dry go over it all with non diluted black ink. This will prime it for you, without having to mess up the models, let this dry. Once it's dry, dry brush the sand in whatever way you see fit, paint the puddles in putrid colors and let dry. Finally, use a watered down white glue to go over it again carefully. This accomplishes two things. First it seals everything and second it should give it a glossy, watery look. Hope that helps!

I look forward to seeing it. Are you familiar with the website Coolminiornot? If not, check it out. Great place for TONS of different things, but especially to get a critique. Just keep in mind there are multiple Golden Demon Winners on there, so don't be discouraged if you get a few relatively "cruel" responses at first. I've judged multiple competitions and while your nurgle wouldn't win, they are very very well painted! Will only get better with time!

Nice! Pax? I apologize for being ignorant. I'm very much into the hobby but unfortunately live in a place where events are few and far between.

Cool. I've never been to the west coast (of the US, did make it to Cancun Mexico), but OR and WA are two states on my top 5 of want to visit/possibly live. I'm hoping that this next year will bring me to ability to bring my love of hobbies to the fore. We'll see.

Great job! If you want to cover the mold line on the melta easily and without ruining the paint job, you can do two things:
1. Use putty on a spare melta, sculpt slime dripping out of the muzzle, pull the sculpt off, let it dry, prime & paint, then glue it to your model.
2. Bite the bullet, clean the mold line, use Chaos black to prime, repaint the area, and reseal it.

Either would work great. Great job!

ahh, you prefer fluff games? I honestly like both (prefer fluff, but am well able to throw down against 'Ard Boyz). I'm actually trying to work on getting a campaign going in my area using a version of the General's Compendium that I modified for 40K. I'm actually dusting off and redoing my Grey Knights now for tourney play. The new rules are disgusting. I play Chaos for almost everything else unless I get bored with them. I have enough of most 40K armies to field 2k points or so if I want.

Nice we be go'n fer 2k pts 'ere atm, we play fluff, my roomates got eh witch cult going, ano'der wit eldar harliquins fluff, death guard fer me, and khaoz orks too. ano'ders got d'e rust'a crons army hehee.

Crimson-Knight-Torg In reply to Solav [2011-08-26 04:55:00 +0000 UTC]

Yeah I love fluff games. fluff and story lines are my specialty, but as i said, I actually enjoy throwning down a relatively balanced list and kicking the snotlings out of "'Ard Boyz" lists. So far my Abbadon DS is undefeated against puppies, bugs, and various other Powered armour armies. Where are you located? I've toyed with an idea of running a world wide campaign that would be 40k meets Total War with groups in the specific regions fighting for control of certain parts and giving bonuses to outlying areas, etc. Would have an interactive map, ability to upload lists (privately), make map moves, and schedule games among other things. Something you and/or your group would be interested in doing?
