I just finished watching Soul Eater and for the longest time couldn't decide if Crona was a boy or girl (damn the Japanese and their propensity for androgynous characters).So I decided on drawing Crona as a girl.

crona is born a girl, but identifies with ragnarock's gender as male. He/him is used for crona is the anime, at least i think so. Medusa raised him as a girl because she wanted a girl.

every time someone mentioned crona they said him... crona is a him... and medusa said crona was her son. not daughter.

Also in the subs it changed from a girl to a guy - cannot tell if that was the same for the dubs and people just never noticed but thats why this rant of whether Crona is a guy or a girl is a huge think about x'D
But when Maka and Crona meet I suspected Crona was male considering they were on about 'Can't deal with girls' fact of making friends or flirting?

I like human raw after they've been running or stressed. It's extra salty and adding the blood it has the salty taste and depending upon the type of blood usually a bitter taste

Hahaha! Thanks, Although you were joking, I have to admit I was taken aback by all the peopleΒ that weren't, I didn't realize such a drawing would cause such an outcry of passions in those that viewed it! I honestly just wanted to visualize Crona as a female. I should have known better!

When you put it that way I can totally see it...and I did...I looked up on Google images and sought out alot of Crona cosplay. I had a new appriecation of what a show could inspire in people and for costume makers in general, I saw alot of girls as Crona, which is cool, I also saw a rather thin man as Crona and a big guy as Ragnarok in a simulated pose from the show....kinda creepy but it worked.
Just goes to show the various ways fan's express themselves for a show they really like.

Sorry I made a mistake there, I think Crona has no gender in the Jap version and has a male gender in the english dub and sub while having a female gender in the manga.
