The Plataea Class is the first ship to ever get the new VectorChavam Slipspace drive and have a Super MAC built aboard; this the new 2nd gen energy fields and the multitude of energy weapons, such as the new MGPL system are all allowed by the prototype Nuclear/plasma fusion generator created through study of the former Covenant and Forerunner technology.
