So, you've got a scenario where characters are trapped in a virtual jungle world, with peril around every corner, while the players have multiple lives to spare, yet you waste them on getting shot and falling off a cliff? Nothing fun, like quicksand, giant snakes, worms or plants? Boring! I thought I'd amend that somewhat.Related content

Once you are trapped in tar, it is so much harder to get out of it considering tar sticks to your skin

YES! This is the sort of thing that should have happened in either of the movies, but at least we have it in art form! That, and the fact that she's sinking in tar with a great view of her feet is perfect!

I had no idea what to sink her in, that's why I ended up opening a poll and the majority went with Tar, which I'll agree as a wonderful choice, haha!
Of course, there was no debate about whether or not her feet were gonna be showing! XD

Ugh, It was an absolute tragedy, they had Karen Gillian in an absolutely smokin' outfit in a world full of creative perils with lives to spare and we got nothing, nada.

I like the tar drawing you did there.
Most games tend have pits (fall damage), spikes, lava, or acid as hazards but there aren't many of them that use quicksand, poison or frozen water as a hazard. One of my games will have quicksand as a hazard which can be non-lethal (simply slowing down players) or lethal which doesn't damage you right away but starts a timer before you start to take damage.

There are some games that do have quicksand that allow to sink in such as The Missing (although only featured once in Waste Processing), some Super Mario games (3, 64, Galaxy, Wii in desert levels), and some Zelda games.
I wonder if the film got complaints, even from outside DA/quicksand community, about not having a quicksand scene. Seeing at the film is set in a jungle, it could be understandable.
The RR peril mentioned in a different comment would be interesting.
