*EDIT*Put a different texture on it and made the shading a higher opacity.
2/3 commissions for ~ariita . Her fursona Aia...getting emotional, I guess.
Ugh. That background. I hate it so much. But art block prevents me from making it better.
I'm not sure I like where my style is going. I don't feel like this looser form of shading is....right.

Personally, I think it looks quite nice! I like the pseudo painting style, and though the background may be not as great as you'd hoped, it does help to draw attention to the foreground, with the swirling leaves. Also, I see you tried to get a bit of lens flare going on as well :3
