Description
The one thing I love the most about the Batman universe are definitely the batkids, and out of all of them Cassandra Cainβs character I instantly fell in love with. How she was such a badass and adorable at the same time. I could also relate to her because I am dyslexic too.(Not to her degree haha.) I was so happy that she returned in Batman And Robin Eternal huehuehue. Then theres Damian Wayne while not one of my favorites of the family, I think he did the most justice to the role of robin (I donβt mean best robin) and he got pretty good character development in the new bad blood movie which made me like him a whole lot more. Because of all this hype I have about these two I drew them together lmao.

Two of my favorites. I love their expressions here - Damian with his customary attitude, Cass not entirely sure what's going on.

Cassandra: So you're like orphan now?
Damian: Nah. I'm have a father, a mother and grandfather. I hate my grandfather
Cassandra: So you're a Ra's Al Ghul's grandson?
Damian: No. I am Wildcat's grandson, of course I'm am grandson that bastard old. He just used me and my mother.
Cassandra: I'm sorry.
Damian: Don't blame yourself, Cassandra. Blame your destiny. Like me. I'm a Batman's son.

yeah, I'm still not sold on New 52 Cass, though I've been a huge fan of her pretty much since her first introduction. not too fond of Damian tho.

I really hope they develop her even better and not push her aside again, I'm very interested in what they're gonna do with her though, whether they would make her batgirl again since Barbara isn't on a wheelchair. Damian is cool on and off and usually irritating. Some times you can really like the guy but more often than not you wanna burn him alive haha.

time will tell, she's never really been given her true justice yet, as she totally needs to be in a movie or something (she has the origin, ability, and character to lead a movie lol). sadly the only mainstream thing Cass is in, is DCU Online, and she's just a vendor, and sometimes sidekicking with Bats. but she's also in her pre-boot Batgirl costume, which is sad because it robbed her of her identifiability back then, and it still does now (Since you can't see her at all). not sure what they call her hero-name wise in the New 52 now, as I quit reading their comics at the end of the first year (2012), I've just checked in via reviews and such now and then. Ah, IMO, Damian's just a pretentious little asshole, especially since there are still times that feel like DC is shouting at you to like him lol. That, and he always seemed to me like a lamer version of Cass, (except he's a boy, and she's more Chinese than he is lol) IE: they both have close ties to the League of Assassins, and were trained from birth for it, though Cass' was far more brutal and she's the better fighter. They both have major player parents, though Cass' are both worse to her, and more deadly than Talia or Bats. They both have dark origins and purposes that they struggle with, yet Cass' was always more dramatic and rough. and the list goes on. (talking about the preboot of course, since the New 52 hasn't done anything to say otherwise there).
But yeah, what's more annoying to me, is how Damian gets all that attention, and now animated movies based around him, hyping him up (mostly because he's Bruce's test tube son) and yet they seem to fear using Cass, when she's pretty much superior to Damian in every single way, except well, she's not as arrogant as he is lol. but yeah again, IMO. that said, I loved it when they met in Gates of Gotham and Damian tried bitching Cass out, insulting her like he does with most others, and she simply snubbed him and gave him an order.. exactly what he deserves lol. and then he eventually came to obey her later on in that arc.. I miss those days. Not that the Preboot was perfect writing all the time though, plenty examples of bad writing and arcs back then too.

I feel you friend, Cass was in the side lines so much that she was probably the last batkid I found out about when I just got into batman. Speeching Dcuo like balls am I having a hard time getting my cr high enough to buy that suit from her. Damian is quite the pest and there's no doubt Cass is leagues above him. I really hope they make the best out of both of the characters in the future.

true, though it's also ironic considering there was no Batgirl comic title before she launched it in 1999.. ahh gotcha, you play it now? I played it for a while but just kinda gradually wore out. yeah for sure, I mean, Damian could potentially be used in many better ways than what they do with him (mainly getting hung up on the whole: HE'S BRUCE'S TEST TUBE BIOLOGICAL SON!), but DC has a bad habit of still hanging onto old methods that have been proven not to work so well. That said, I really do hope Cass gets into one of those animated movies sometime soon, she has more than enough weight to bring to a plot, and she could easily be a marketing gold mine if used right. yeah, I hear that.

That chance is pretty slim right now, those DC animated movies of batman right now have their own time line were Tim and Jason weren't introduced yet. And at the very end of the newest movie they teased Barbara as batgirl so the highest chance of seeing Cass in that series is at least 2 movies later with is still pretty far fetched that they'd use Cass instead of Jason or Tim. Hopefully a new line of batman movies will start up along side it? Maybe Cass has a higher chance of being animated there.

True, though I don't think it's ever been anything more than slim so far lol, so that's literally nothing new. and yeah I did see Babs in that ending, though I'm not sure what criteria you're using to state the "highest chance" is from. I mean after all, Damian himself did pop up before characters that existed before him in the comic continuity, and Tim hasn't been shown at all in that one for that matter, so I don't think the animated film continuity really follows that kind of line. and I couldn't say about that new line of Batman movies, as I don't really know, but Bats tends to crap out movies like he's got a bad case of cinema shits, so who knows. That said, there was a few kids movies centered on Bats, and one of them had Red Robin Tim in it iirc, so that may be possible. Again, I don't know what criteria you're basing the "higher chance" on here.
But yeah, what I was saying was, although it's still slim chances as it's literally always been for Cass (especially since her Batgirl costume robbed her of any identifiability by the masses), their inclusion of Batwoman Kate, Batwing, and then the tease with Babs at the end of Bad Blood made me think we Cass fans may get lucky if this is indeed a sign that they're increasing the rate of "new" characters they introduce. Why? because, by sheer numbers, if they continue dropping in more "new" characters in numbers, they could eventually get to Cass. So yeah, there's the reasoning there, not saying it WILL happen, just that maybe we'll get a shot at it, even if it's slim as usual.

Oh um by highest chance of seeing her two movies later I meant because the next movie would probably be about Barbara so the one after could be anyone's game. But compared to others she probably have a lower probability of coming out. Of course the people who make those movies like to surprise the fans so here's to hoping. I guess I just didn't use the right words haha

ahh gotcha. and yeah naturally it'll probably be about her. yeah true, that's what I was betting on, the whole "anyone's game" thing. but yeah, Cass' chances for getting into a movie like that has always been slim lol, so it can literally only get better. Ah, idk if you didn't use the right words per se, just that I wasn't sure what you meant, or rather, where you were coming from on some of those things. it's all clear now tho lol.

Well glad that was easy to clear up. Hears to hoping that Cass will have a debut to the animated universe really soon and that writers will know how to use her in the comics!

yeah lol, sometimes it can get pretty confusing. and yeah, seconded on that, for sure on the animated films. she's been romping around a bit in that Batman & Robin Eternal (is there even a Batman or Robin involved? XD), but I don't read the New 52 anymore, so yeah. anyhow, great pic once again lol

Yeah! Thanks again! Batman appears in flashbacks and robin appears as the younger self of Dick. Batman & Robin Eternal's name really does contradict now that I think about it haha, but It revolves around the bat kids which is just a love note from DC to me especially with most of it focusing on Cass. I really recommend it! Β

gotcha, Bruce Batman? or Gordonman? lol. and ahh, so it's still actually pretty ironic of a title. Noted, but I quit reading the New 52 at the end of 2012, and I haven't been a fan of it since, so I doubt I'll be reading it anytime soon. That said, is it just me, or does Harper continue to look more and more masculine with each issue of that comic? XD
on a last note, Cass' costume still looks like something out of Ninja Gaiden to me, Superhero comics these days are getting kind of odd with that lol.

Bruce in flashbacks, I think Jim was around a little as batman. Cass hasn't gotten out of her League clothing which explains her ninja look. New 52 has a lot to live up to especially with the batman stories so I understand how you feel about it haha.

Ahh gotcha, yeah he's still Gordonman right? ah, I'd say it's more Ninja Gaiden than actual ninja lol. but yeah, IMO, the New 52 still falls utterly flat on its face compared to the preboot.

Really the only thing I can think of that new 52 did right was Jason Todd, I think Jim is about to end his time as the bats really soon. I'll give em credit doe, while it's not as good as pre 52, they haven't made it complete trash. At least in my opinion
