Actually y'know, I'm not a big fan of oversized weapons. I prefer giving my characters a down to earth look, with weapons and armors that may not be the most historically accurate, but are at least plausible to wield. Giving a dwarf (supposedly 4' tall) a weapon taller than himself sounded silly. I know many stnadrd illustrations today, fueled by the iconography of mmorpgs and VGs in general, feature characters with crazily huge waepons like hammers with the head the size of a barrel... but it's not my taste
