A showjumping entry!!! Its about time.. I'm not completely pleased with the finished result, but i guess its good enough..

Argento's heart pounded quickly, his eyes were wide and alert while his ears were listening to all directions. He was usually calm at shows, but this one just felt different. Ever since they got to the DNS's grounds, Argento could feel it in the air. Nothing was totally wrong, but it felt as if the sky was odd.

Nervous, he raised his head upward and smelled the air. He found the scent of a body of water a ways off and the fresh smell of forest. No sign of predators his mind stated.

When morning broke in the sky on the day of the competition, he senses still told him to be wary.

Adriana walked into his stall, her arms full of his tack, he nuzzled her gently. Adriana put everything down and turned towards the black stallion. "Today's an interesting one" she whispered to him as she petted his for head, "but its nothing we can't handle". She reached into her jean pocket and pulled out a handful of sugar cubes. For a second, Argento forgot all about his worries. His owner opened her hand and reached it towards his muzzle, "here you go big guy" she said with a smile. As he munched on the cubes, Adriana hugged his neck. "When we're done with the show, theres many more treats left to be eaten" she said and patted his muscular neck.

She did a thorough inspection on his body, making sure he didn't have and issues of the night. As she did so, she massaged his muscles. Her horse always relaxed after a good massage. Once she finished, she patted him once again.

He replied with a low nicker. Adriana turned towards her horse's tack and began to dress him up. The horse stood as still as he could, knowing very well if he was good enough he would get another chance of a sugar cube. Surely enough, when she finished tacking him up he received a gift.

Calmly, Adriana led him out from his stall. The horse's muscles felt loose and his mind didn't demand for wariness. This day would different from others, but Argento decided that instead of knowing what it was he would rather face it with Adriana.

As the pair waited to perform, the sky turned orange and red. Argento would nuzzle Adriana, making sure his rider was alright. In reply, Adriana would turn to the stallion, smile, and pat his neck affectionately. Then, it was their turn to have a go at the jumps. Argento jumped gracefully and confidence would echo with each step. Everything ended all too soon, when it was done Argento found himself munching on his favorite treat.
