Many people appear to have commented on the particularly unusual background of this picture, but I'll throw my two cents into the lot as well.
Even with the blurring, there is still a significant amount of detail contained within the background. Rather than blobs that are supposed to be blurred trees, you have, particularly on the right hand side of the image, trees that are blurred. You can tell what they are, despite the blurring. The paw-prints in the snow are also a lovely touch. Which brings me to the highlight of the picture, the highly detailed pictures of the dogs. The amount of fur detail is incredible, from the fuzz on the back of the legs to the way the tufts of hair flow about on the neck to the stray hairs on the ears. It speaks volumes about the effort, work, and care put into this piece.
You even bring to life the frosty atmosphere of the place imaged with the condensation from the dogs breathing in the cold air.
I would say that in my own, uncultured, opinion that this is a superb piece of work.
How much time did you put into this piece?

Well i do appreciate the fact that even though people have already commented
on the background, you continue to do so and in full detail. your two cents are
something i always look forward to!
To be honest, i had quite difficult time with the background. Due to the fact that i
had detailed background painted, but i also was playing around with a few filters
on my drawing program and once i saw the effect i loved the out come. I loved
the blurry and non blurry, so i saved a version of each.
Thank you kindly for noticing the paw prints! I'm glad they give a good touch.
And overall thank you for the absolutely fantastic comment! Your own and awesomely
uncultured opinion totally makes my day, especially when you let me know of the
details i put in my work. Its a real joy. ^^
To be honest.. I'm not too sure of how long this piece took me... I had a difficult time
trying to finish it, i got kinda tired of drawing each individual hair, so it took me a few
days. Perhaps an hour or two each day. It was quite the accomplishment when
i finally finished ha ha. About 5-6 hours i guess, would you say that was a long time or short?

That does seem to be the cool thing about digital drawings, you CAN have both versions.
It's quite a pleasure to explore the effort that you put into your drawings; exploring the details is quite fun. Its amazing how deep they can go.
5-6 hours is a long time, to me at least, to spend working on something. But it looks like it was time well spent, and hopefully made you happy as well.

The movement in this picture is wonderful! Did you just add blur to the whole picture? I think I shall try it it certianly does add movement! Neat trick The fur detailing is droolworthy!

I added blur to the background, i felt like i added too much detail to the dogs to give them any blur. XD
It is pretty fun and slightly relaxing messing with the filters and seeing the effects they give. totally
reccomend. Thank you for the amazing comment!
