Well, you'll probably love them with the right kind of epic sick imagination- the Legacy of Kain games: Soul Reaver. The vampire Raziel, risen from the hierarchy of an ancient vampire-hunting priesthood, first to evolve wings after millennia of vampire rule over the world, cast into a whirlpool to burn for centuries after overtaking his master in evolution, emerges alive and twisted (i.e. blue-green scraps of flesh on a half-broken skeleton) to hunt down his former brethren seeking vengeance. ^_^
